A Souvenier From Kansas City |
|
My sister had just come back from her trip to Kansas City; my mom and I had stayed up to see that she came home safe. It was almost midnight, and we chatted for awhile before going to sleep. My sister shares a room with me, and she was fast asleep by the time I crawled into bed after brushing my teeth. As I lay there, I began to feel the strange sensation that someone was in the room with us. I opened my eyes, and a man stood over us saying, “It‘s okay, it‘s okay.” I was paralyzed with fear until he vanished. I woke up my sister, but she hadn‘t sensed a thing. I didn‘t sleep the rest of the night. Instead, I prayed for him to stay away. Harriet, Manitoba
