My Cousin's Call

One afternoon, as I walked home from work, I felt someone touch my hand. No one was about, so I blew it off as my imagination. Later that night, the telephone rang. It was my cousin, who had been sick with cancer. He chastised me for not coming to visit often enough. I apologized and promised to come the next day. Then I called my sister to see if she'd like to join me. "I take it that you are joking, and it isn't very funny," she said. That's when I found out that my cousin had died earlier in the afternoon, right about the time that I was coming home from work!
