It was July 1, 2005, when my friend and I had an encounter with a ghost. I spent the night at her house (which was haunted, according to her) and her mother went out for the night. So we were all alone. An hour after her mom left, we heard something very unusual upstairs that sounded like someone walking along the wooden floor. We both turned and looked at each other with our eyes widen with curiosity. I was the brave one and suggested that we should go check it out, since she had a feeling the house was haunted she so was unwilling to check it out. I finally convinced her to explore with me. So we slowly walked up the stairs when we noticed a figure at the top. He looked very lonely and sad. The ghost was wearing a brown trench coat and had a pipe in his mouth. As the time went by, the ghost got darker and darker. Finally he walked away. We decided to go upstairs and see if he was still there. We turned the corner and saw the same ghost sitting on my friend’s bed. He got up and walked closer to us. He had this angry look on his face like he was mad at us for invading his home. We both backed up and all the electricity went off. There we stood in the dark not being able to see each other and knowing that the ghost was somewhere in front of us. I remembered what my Grandma told me about telling a spirit/ghost to go away and it will disappear. So, with my hands trembling with fear, I just simply told it to go away. The electricity turned back on and we knew the ghost was gone. We both hugged each other and we were very happy. That is how I remembered it and I hope you enjoyed our encounter with this ghost.
