My parents used to live in the Robin Hood Apartments of Harlingen, TX. A more appropriate name would have been the Asylum Apartments, because that's what stood there before they were built! Rumors persisted that the staff had buried many of the patients on the grounds, and though I never saw anything firsthand, there definitely was a creepy vibe about the place. My older brother claims to have seen several apparitions, all in the hallway. Once, he was soaking in the tub while no one else was home. He heard footsteps in the hallway that seemed to walk past the bathroom door, yet nothing was there. The same thing happened to my sister, only these steps came into the bathroom, and she swears that whatever it was thrust its hands into the water. She was hysterical! Another time, my mom was napping with the bedroom door just open a crack. When she woke up, the same footsteps made their way down the hall and pushed the door open. The steps entered the room and strong hands tried to push her out of the bed! We told ourselves that we were moving because we outgrew the apartment, but I don't think anybody in the family really bought that excuse. Michelle, TX
