One night, I was visiting a friend in apartment C17. We suddenly heard a blood-curdling scream coming from the unit two doors down. The door was unlocked, so Jose burst in to rescue whoever needed help. Before I could take a step in, Jose ran past me screaming. I followed him back to his apartment, where I found him curled into a fetal position. He claimed (and still does to this day) that when he ran into that apartment he saw a dead woman hanging from a rope…floating towards him! We checked with the building manager, and he claims that the unit has been vacant for ages. To this day, Jose refuses to walk past the door. He walks all the way around the complex to avoid getting near it.
