This story takes place on Route 44 in New England when it's dark. First I will tell you the history behind this story. (please excuse my spelling) This story is not a lie. There was a poor middle aged man who seemed to get around by hitch hiking from place to place. One day he wasn't so lucky and no one picked him. Three or four days went by without eating or drinking and he eventually died. Now here is how the story goes. If after dark you decide to go to Route 44 in Taughtin, MA, don't go alone. A middle aged man haunts it. When and if you go, and there are no cars, and you are all alone with a friend or by your self I can give you a 50% guarantee you will find a ghost. This ghost, is like no other ghost. He looks like a normal hitch hiker and farmer. With work boots, a pair of jeans, overalls, and red hair. He will ask for a ride, in some cases. If you decide to pull over, and pick the man up he will open the door, and step in. If you talk to the man he will smile at you, but won't talk. As you turn away he may disappear and as you look for him you may not see him. When you look towards the front, you do. He is on your cars hood smiling and tries to do everything he can to through you off of the road. Some people have encountered him this way, some have died. Police think the people in the accidents were drunk. Another way you can encounter him is like this. Your are alone again, and its dark again. A man will suddenly go in front of you and you swerve off of the road and hit the rails. this is the main way people see him and very few survived.
